Martin has 30 years’ executive and entrepreneurial experience in hospitality, developing brands and teams and co-founding award-winning Pure Craft Bars Ltd and FiredUp Pizza. A passionate educator, trainer, leadership coach, Beer Sommelier and Judge, he has supported the pub sector through training and coaching, including as Director of Learning and Education at CPL Learning PLC.

He works with universities and leadership organisations to deliver training and coaching across industries. Martin is also a published author, Non-Executive Director, Hospitality Action Northern Board member, and accredited Personal and Executive Coach with expertise in Accelerated Learning Techniques.

After an Acute Aortic Dissection in March 2020, Martin became an active supporter of The Aortic Dissection Charitable Trust, leading its Education Team and fundraising through walking challenges. Known as the “Aortic Ironman,” he has returned after surgery to complete long- and short-distance triathlons and is a passionate advocate of fitness and exercise.
