The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

·        Personal identifiers to include name, email and postal address and telephone number

·        Professional details, such as job title, organisation, geographic location

 

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you for one of the following reasons:

·          You have given us your consent to use the information for a specified purpose, such as sending you information on the work we undertake either by email, telephone or post.

·          We need to use your information to fulfil a contract with you

·          To fulfil any obligations if we are legally required to provide your data to regulatory bodies and authorities

·          We have a legitimate interest, such as to respond to or fulfil any requests, complaints or queries you make to us

We also receive personal information indirectly, from organisations who are hosting an event, with whom we have a contract in place to organise that event.

We use the information that you have given us in order to:

·        Organise our events

·        Provide you with information for any events you sign up to

 

·        Respond to or fulfil any requests, complaints or queries you make to us 

·        Send you marketing communications by email where you have agreed to receive this

We will never share your information with third parties for their own purposes, unless this is explained to you at the time we collect your information, you give us your permission to, or we are legally required to do so, or we have another lawful basis for sharing such information.

When we need to share personal data with our contractors and third party suppliers, our relationships are governed by our contracts with them which include strict data sharing and confidentiality protocols.

We never share personal information with any other organisation for third-party marketing purposes.

We only hold records during the period of our relationship and for two years afterwards to allow us to meet our legal obligations, including resolving any follow-up issues between us.

We will apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure your personal information is secure.  For example, we have systems in place to ensure that access to personal information is restricted to authorised individuals. 

We will always hold personal information securely and process it in a manner that ensures appropriate security of the personal data, including protection against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures in accordance with the GDPR.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
