Konstantinos Tsagakis, MD, PhD is cardiac surgeon specialized in aortic surgery. He graduated as medical doctor in the University of Vienna, Austria. He completed his specialization as cardiac surgeon in the Heart Center North Rhein Westphalia in Bad Oeynhausen, Germany, and in the University of Essen, Germany.  He continued as staff surgeon and head of aortic surgery in the University of Essen, Germany. Since 09.2024, he is section head of aortic surgery in the department of cardiac surgery of the University Hospital of Cologne, Germany. He was member and served as chair of the vascular domain of the European Association for Cardio-Thoracic Surgery.
